Major Christi Esquinaldo
Major Christi Esquinaldo is a native of Key West, Florida and has been a resident of Hillsborough County since 1994. She joined the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in 1996, and began her career as a patrol deputy in District I. She has held various positions throughout her career to include, School Resource Deputy, Juvenile Detective, and Homicide Detective of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Major Esquinaldo has held supervisory roles as a Field Training Corporal; Corporal of the Intelligence Section within Homeland Security Division; Street Crimes Sergeant; School Resource Sergeant; Administrative Lieutenant District II Patrol; Investigative Lieutenant District I Patrol; Lieutenant within the Child Protective Investigations Division; Deputy Commander of District IV Patrol; and, DUI Coordinator. Major Esquinaldo is currently the Division Commander of the Child Protective Investigations Division.
Major Esquinaldo has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University. She also graduated from The Southern Police Institute Administrative Officers Course at the University of Louisville, where she earned a Graduate Certificate in Police Executive Leadership.
Major Esquinaldo has served on the Board of the University Area Community Center, the DUI Counter Attack, Hillsborough, Inc., and the Florida Impaired Driving Coalition.
