UPDATE: Suspect Captured In Credit Union Robbery
Tampa Police Department arrest suspect wanted in connection with the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union robbery.

On April 3, 2010, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Tampa Police Department came in contact with the suspect, Anthony C. Matthews. Based on information developed by Tampa Police Department, Matthews was taken into custody and Hillsborough detectives were notified. Matthews admitted to detectives that he was responsible for the bank robbery at the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union. He was transported to Orient Road Jail and charged with Strong Armed Robbery/Bank Robbery.
Suspect #1 Unknown black male, 25-30 years of age, 6’0 – 6’3” in height, 200+ pounds, last seen wearing a red baseball cap, cream colored hooded sweat jack with unknown writing and brightly colored drawings on the front and long blue jean shorts.
Suspect #2 Unknown black male, late 20’s or early 30’s, 5’6” – 5’8” in height with a medium build, unshaven with a mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a tan jacket with brown trim with a t-shirt underneath and dark colored pants.
Possibly a red or burgundy vehicle Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable was seen leaving the parking area a short time after the suspects exited the bank.
On Friday, February 19, 2010 at approximately 8:35 a.m. 2 unknown black male suspects entered the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union located at 950 Fletcher Avenue West in Tampa. One of the suspects sat in the waiting area while the other suspect approached the counter and gave the teller a note demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of currency, both suspects exited the bank together through the front door.
A red or burgundy Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable was seen leaving the parking lot a short time after the suspect left out of the bank.
