Detectives are still searching for two suspects that stole 25 watches from Westfield Citrus Park Shopping Mall.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects who stole watches from a jewelry counter at Dillard’s. The crime occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, shortly after 10 a.m. at the store at Westfield Citrus Park Shopping Mall.
Both suspects, a white male and a black male, approached the jewelry counter at different locations. The white male began talking to the clerk about various ladies’ watches. At some point the black male began to shout and cause a disturbance. When the clerk turned her attention to him, the white male went behind the counter and swiped 25 Coach watches. He put them in a red Disney Store bag and ran. The black male also ran out of the store. The value of the watches is nearly $7,000.
The suspects were last seen getting into a beige full-size pickup.
The black male, who the clerk originally thought was a female, is described as being in his mid-20s, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 210 pounds, with long braided black hair and gold caps on his teeth. He was last seen wearing tinted glasses and a Puma brand shirt.
The white male is described as being in his mid-20s, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 pounds, with sandy colored hair in a ponytail.
Anyone with information on these suspects is asked to call 911 or the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200.
