Detective's have arrested the driver involved in the hit and run fatality that occurred on February 14, 2010.

Detective’s has arrested the driver of the vehicle involved in the hit and run fatality that occurred on February 14, 2010. The vehicle was located at the suspect’s residence today, February 25, 2010. Detectives also discovered that the suspect had taken steps to conceal the identity of his vehicle by changing parts and washing off evidence. Hernandez was taken into custody and charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Death, Driving While License Suspended Resulting in Death, Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence.

On Sunday, February 14, 2010 around 7:05 p.m. a pedestrian was struck and killed on Balm Road & Grady Sweat Lane. The crash occurred when the pedestrian was walking on the westbound side of Balm Road near the edge of the roadway and was struck by a 1992 – 1993 Pontiac Bonneville SE, green in color, that was traveling westbound. The vehicle skidded and rotated counter-clockwise across the roadway to the south side of the road, and the driver fled the scene in the vehicle undetected in an unknown direction. A Pontiac emblem, paint and some red lens fragments were left at the scene.
The pedestrian died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
