Driver who strikes pedestrian crossing street leaves the scene and returns.

On Sunday, March 7, 2010 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Amanda Bentz was driving a 2008 Chevy eastbound on W. Waters Avenue just west of N. Grady Avenue when she struck Billy Leaden who was crossing Waters Avenue. The pedestrian died at the scene from injuries she received in the accident.
After striking the pedestrian Bentz left the scene but returned a short time later with her parents. Once back at the scene, she identified herself as the driver that struck the pedestrian. No charges have been filed at the release of this alert.
The investigation continues.
