Warrants issued for suspect in connection with homicide of three-year-old.
On May 24, 2010, the suspect who resides with his five-year-old son along with his girlfriend and her son who is the victim's mother transported the victim to Saint Joseph's Hospital with a head injury.
The suspect informed the hospital staff that the victim fell in the parking lot of their apartment complex while chasing ducks. The victim was taken to emergency surgery for severe head injuries. During the investigation detectives determined that the suspect was the sole care taker of the victim while the victim's mother was at work and the child was injured.
On May 25th, the victim passed away due to his injuries. On May 27th, the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office ruled this death was a homicide giving homicide detectives the evidence to obtain arrest warrants for Blanco.
