Mitchell and Judith Fletcher
714 Lime Tree Road
On October 6, 2010, deputies responded to the residence of Mitchell and Judith Fletcher in reference to a skeleton they had purchased at an estate sale three weeks earlier. They thought the skeleton was plastic, but as they were decorating for Halloween they realized that it in fact appeared to be human bones.
Deputies responded and took possession of the skeleton which appears to be a human anatomical skeleton utilized for study at a college and/or university. Deputies located a serial number on the femur. The skeleton was turned over to the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office.
The investigation is continuing to determine the origin of the skeleton.
