Injuries: Serious, flown via Medivac to St. Joseph's Hospital

Lawrence P. Clement DOB: 07-21-46
1756 Aaberdeen Ct, Palm Harbor FL, 34684
Injuries: Incapacitating, taken to St Joseph Hospital via ground ambulance

DETAILS:

On September 03, 2010 at 2:26 p.m., HCSO deputies were called to a traffic crash involving a head-on collision between two vehicles. Once on scene, deputies and medical personnel found the driver of the Hyundai deceased and the driver and passenger of the 2002 Toyota severely injured.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue began extrication of critically injured Clara Lawhead and Lawrence Clement from their vehicle. Once removed, Lawhead was flown to St Joseph Hospital in critical but stable condition. Clement was transported via ground ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries. He is currently in stable condition.

HCSO Traffic Homicide Investigators are on scene and have determined from evidence and interviews the following preliminary information;

Roberta Fourmier was driving a 2007 Hyundai Elantra eastbound on Tarpon Spring Road approaching Wayne Road. For unknown reasons, the Hyundai crossed into the westbound lane of Tarpon Springs Road and struck the westbound 2002 Toyota 4Runner head-on

It appears at this time all individuals were wearing seatbelts and air bags were deployed.

This investigation is ongoing.
