Riding a Black Ross 26 inch bicycle
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a hit and run with serious bodily injury that occurred on April 21, 2011 at approximately 8:34 p.m. in the area of College Avenue and 5th Street South West in Ruskin. The bicyclist was riding his bicycle on College Avenue when he was struck by a westbound vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene west on College Avenue. The victim was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Investigators are looking for an unknown color 1994 – 2006 Ford Econoline van. The van should be missing the passenger side mirror and have possible damage to the amber turn signal lenses. See attached photo of similar vehicle.
