On June 29, 2011 the Sub Shak located at 4309 Gunn Highway was burglarized by shattering the glass front door of the business. Once inside, the suspect removed a flat screen television.
On July 6, 2011 the First Tip Nail Salon located at 5309 Ehrlich Road was also burglarized by someone shattering the glass front door of the business. A flat screen television was stolen. While investigating the burglary, detectives discovered blood inside the business. Detectives were able to obtain a blood sample from the scene which was submitted to Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Results from FDLE identified the blood belonged to suspect Paul Maggese, Jr.
The suspect was taken into custody on August 24, 2011 charged with both burglaries.
Maggese had been released from prison on December 16, 2010.
