Sean Lamont Parrott (deceased)
6317 Sunset Bay Circle
Apollo Beach, FL
At approximately 4:35 p.m., Parrott and his friend entered the water and at some point according to the friend, he turned and no longer saw Parrott standing. The friend got out of the water and called 911. Family members advised detectives that Parrot was able to swim. During this investigation, detectives have since learned that on Sunday August 28, 2011, Sean Parrott and a friend had been in and out of the water all day.
According to detectives, preliminary indication is that strong tidal currents may have caused Parrot to be pulled under the water and drowned. The Hillsborough County Medical Examiners will conduct an investigation to determine if any other factors may have been involved, however detectives do not suspect foul place at this time.
Just after midnight, pilots with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit spotted a body floating approximately ½ mile from where this incident occurred. HCSO Marine Unit responded and recovered the remains and confirmed it was Sean Parrott. Parrott's body was returned to shore and turned over to the Hillsborough County Medical Examiners Office.
