Motorcyclist Dies In Traffic Crash
Motorcyclist struck by motorist is pronounced dead at the scene.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Investigators responded to a traffic crash with a fatality on January 3, 2011 at approximately 3:21 p.m. Investigation revealed that both the Ford Focus and Kawasaki were traveling south bound on Casey Road. The motorcyclist passed several southbound vehicles and then passed the Ford Focus, cutting in front of the Focus. The operator of the motorcycle then immediately slowed down to negotiate a turn. The driver of the Focus attempted to slow down, bumped the motorcycle in the rear end, resulting in the motorcyclist falling off the motorcycle where he was then struck by the Focus. The motorcyclist died at the scene. The occupants of the Ford Focus were not injured and no charges are expected.
