16018 Splitlog Drive
On January 19, 2011 at approximately 3:15 p.m., a white male entered Hudson Pharmacy located at 11010 N. Dale Mabry Hwy in Carrollwood, armed with a handgun and demanding prescription narcotics.
Pharmacy personnel turned over an undisclosed amount of narcotics to the suspect who then and fled in a Honda Civic. Detectives arrived on scene and were quickly able to determine the tag number of the suspect's vehicle.
Detectives tracked the vehicle back to 16018 Splitlog Drive in Tampa where, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a subject matching the robbery suspect's description was briefly spotted standing outside the residence. The subject, later identified as Erin Nettles, went back inside his house as additional deputies were called to assist in surrounding the house. Deputies attempted to make contact with Nettles with no response.
After approximately one hour, detectives made contact with Nettles and requested he exit the house. Nettles refused to come outside. Detectives continued a verbal dialog attempting to coax him out. Deputies continued talking to Nettles over the phone and were eventually able to convince him to give himself up. After further investigation, Nettles was positively identified as the person who robbed Hudson Pharmacy.
Detectives recovered the weapon used in the robbery, which turned out to be an air pistol replica of a semi-auto handgun. Nettles was transported to a local hospital for medical clearance prior to being booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.
