    Details:

On July 13, 2011, at approximately 3:29 a.m. a deputy in the area of Butterfly Shell Drive and Star Shell Drive observed a vehicle with no headlights on driving through a residential area. When the deputy approached the intersection, he activated his overhead lights and the vehicle sped off turning north onto Butterfly Shell Drive. The deputy followed the vehicle, and in the area of U.S. Highway 41 North at Falls Blvd, activated his siren which resulted in the vehicle stopping in the median. The four occupants were removed from the vehicle and deputies observed screwdrivers, cellular phones, car radios, GPS systems, gloves, power cords, an amplifier and IPod docking stations inside the vehicle.

Investigating deputies discovered that there had been six vehicle burglaries within the Harbor Isles subdivision in Apollo Beach. In each of the vehicle burglaries the vehicle was unlocked.
