Update On Missing Endangered Adult:
On July 22, 2011 deputies responded to a warehouse complex at Highway 301 and Fowler Avenue in reference to a vehicle that had been in the parking lot for a week. When deputies arrived they discovered a body in a wooded area near where the vehicle was parked. It appears that missing person, Fernandez committed suicide at the scene.
Missing Endangered Adult:
Jose Manuel Fernandez
- White male
- 160 lbs.
- Thin build
- Gray hair and brown eyes
- Last seen wearing a black polo shirt, tan pants and black shoes.
Details from News Release 11-241:
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a missing person case. On July 11, 2011 Fernandez was reported missing by his wife. According to his wife, he left their home that morning but never showed up at his place of employment, Starbucks located at 5006 East Fowler Avenue. According to his wife he did not take any of his personal belongings with him. He left a note alluding to possible suicide.
