10216 Dry Bridge Road
On November 1, 2011 at approximately 12:30 p.m. the Sheriff's Office was notified by Tampa Police Department of a possible homicide that had occurred in the county. Deputies responded to 10216 Dry Bridge Road in Lithia and discovered the body of Timothy Miller. Detectives investigating the homicide have made an arrest and charged Sarah Wilson with Second Degree Murder with a Firearm.
The investigation revealed that on October 29, 2011 the victim and his girlfriend (Sarah Wilson) had a verbal argument because the defendant took the victim’s truck without asking to go smoke crack cocaine early that morning. On October 30, 2011 at approximately 9:00 p.m. the defendant and the victim were at their residence located at 10216 Dry Bridge Road in Lithia. The victim was sleeping on a bed in the living room when the defendant shot the victim in the back of the head with a 410 shotgun.
On October 31, 2011, the defendant made statements to a witness advising that she killed her boyfriend by shooting him in the head with a shotgun at their residence. The defendant also transported the witness to the scene on November 1, 2011 where the witness saw the victim deceased.
On November 1, 2011, the defendant made contact with another individual and she advised that individual that she had killed her boyfriend by shooting him in the head with a shotgun while at their residence. That witness notified Tampa Police Department who then called the Sheriff's Office because the Dry Bridge address was in the county. On November 1, 2011 at approximately 12:30 p.m. deputies responded to the Dry Bridge residence to check on the welfare of Timothy Miller and when they did not get an answer at the door, deputies made a forced entry and discovered Miller's body in the living room.
During the day on November 1, 2011, Tampa Police Department also recovered the victim's pickup truck in the area of 50th and Broadway where it had been abandoned. The suspect was later found by Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives at the Tampa 8 Motel located at 4350 East Old Columbus Drive where she was then taken to Criminal Investigation Division for an interview. At approximately midnight on November 1, 2011, Sarah Wilson was charged with Second Degree Murder with a Firearm.
