Details:
On November 16, 2011 a traffic crash occurred on Lithia Pinecrest Road approximately 300 feet south of Bloomingdale avenue at the entrance of Lithia Crossing Mall. The crash occurred at 11:00 a.m. and resulted in the death of one person, Robert Chapman. A 2008 Dodge pickup truck was exiting the mall and attempting to turn north on Lithia Pinecrest Road. A 2005 Lexus SUV was southbound on Lithia Pinecrest Road. The Dodge struck the passenger side of the SUV causing the SUV to overturn. The driver was ejected and transported to Brandon Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The case remains under investigation.
