    Fatalities In Brandon House Fire

    Twin brothers die in house fire.

    Details:

    On September 15, 2211 at 12:21 a.m., Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reference a residential fire. The call was transferred to Hillsborough County Fire which responded to the scene at 101 Foxwood Drive in Brandon. The homeowner and her fiancée, Elmer Morales were able to get out of the house and were not injured. During the initial operations by fire crews, the twin two year olds were discovered in a bedroom. Fire crews removed the children and resuscitation efforts were begun. Rishaw was transported to Brandon Hospital and Richie was transported to Tampa General Hospital. Both twins were pronounced deceased at the hospital. The homeowner who is the great aunt of the twins did not know that they were in the house.

    Preliminary information:

    At approximately 10:30 p.m. on September 14, 2011, Jaimey and the twins arrived at the residence. The homeowner and her fiancée were asleep and did not know that they were there. The twins were sleeping and mom, Jaimey Sims, DOB 8-16-92 put them down in their bedroom. At approximately 11:45 p.m. mom left the residence to meet a friend, leaving the children sleeping. The fire occurred approximately 12:20 a.m. September 15, 2011. Linda Morgan was able to reach Jaimey Sims on her cell phone and have her return to the house.

    The cause of the fire is being investigated by State Fire Marshal’s Office. The cause of death will be determined by the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office.

    The investigation continues.
