Following a struggle, the victim was shot and later died at the hospital.

- #1 – Black male, 6’1”, 160 lbs., wearing all black clothing and armed with a handgun.
- #2 – Black male, 5’10”, 160 lbs., clean shaven, wearing a black shirt with a white undershirt.
- Beige or Gold compact to mid size.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred April 23, 2012 at approximately 10:00 p.m. at 14606 – 42nd Street North, Apt. 328 in Tampa.
The victim, George Sherry was in his apartment with approximately 4 other individuals when there was a knock at the door. The victim opened the door and was confronted by two black male subjects. A struggle ensued between the victim and the armed suspect, the suspect pistol whipping the victim and then shots were fired striking the victim. The suspects fled the scene and the victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he expired.
