4703 Kemble Court

On February 6, 2012 patrol units responded to 4703 Kemble Court in reference to a non responsive adult male. Deputies discovered a deceased male (Stephan Gruendel). Detectives conducting the investigation believed that the death was an apparent overdose due to the evidence located at the scene. Detectives learned that the deceased Gruendel had purchased oxycontin from a known drug dealer (Ned Castel) the night before his death.
The Hillsborough Medical Examiner performed an autopsy and subsequent toxicology confirmed that the victim died of an overdose of oxycontin.
On August 1, 2012, detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of Ned Castel. Castel was located in the area of 29th Street and Osborne Avenue. Castel is currently on a GPS monitor for various narcotic charges. Castel was taken into custody and was transported to the Orient Road Jail on the Third Degree Murder and delivery of a controlled substance charges.
