Arthur Ray Lollar

On August 13, 2012 at approximately 4:00 p.m., deputies received information from the Sabal Park Apartment’s management that a resident within the complex was impersonating a police officer. The man identified as Arthur Lollar, lives within the complex. The apartment management learned that Lollar portrayed himself as a law enforcement officer to two separate witnesses, which were painters at the apartment complex. The incident occurred when Lollar approached the two painters while he was wearing a shirt with “Sheriff” on the back, a 9mm in a holster and handcuffs. Lollar asked the painters what they were doing and he identified himself as a “Sheriff”. Deputies learned that the incident had occurred several days prior to the management calling law enforcement.
When deputies made contact with Lollar, he admitted to being in possession of firearms. Deputies discovered a dark plastic case containing an 870 Remington 12 gauge, a .45 pistol in a black holster, a pair of handcuffs in a black nylon case and handcuff keys.
Lollar was arrested in 2001 by Temple Terrace Police Department for Impersonating a Public Officer and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He was also arrested in 2003 for Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Injuries and a Violation of Probation for the 2001 Public Officer Impersonation.
Lollar was arrested and transported to Hillsborough County Jail.
