Quarterly Awards Ceremony to Honor Employees and Citizens:
The Sheriff’s Office Quarterly Awards Ceremony is set for December 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Falkenburg Road Jail Assembly Room. HCSO personnel will be honored for valor and exceptional work performance. We will also recognize recent retirees, employees for longevity of service and honor citizens who helped save lives and who helped to catch criminals. Civilian Employee of the Quarter and the Year will be recognized along with Deputy of the Quarter.
Here are a few highlights:
- Numerous Sheriff’s Office employees will be recognized for their outstanding work performance during the Republican National Convention.
- Life saving awards presented to three deputies that saved a citizen after he collapsed while at the courthouse.
- Distinguished Performance award presented to an employee who is recognized as an expert on child pornography. He is regularly sought after by local, state and federal agencies for his forensic skills and knowledge of internet related crimes pertaining to child exploitation.
- Distinguished Performance award presented to two detectives assigned to investigate staged crashes and fraudulent personal injury protection clinics. Through the course of their investigations, they developed practices that have since been adopted and utilized nation wide.
