On November 5, 2012, the suspect and victim got into a verbal argument about relationship issues. The suspect began to get out of control and the victim feared for her safety. The victim attempted to leave the scene in her vehicle when the suspect grabbed the keys out of the ignition, breaking the key off in the ignition. The victim attempted to make a call for help and the suspect grabbed her cell phone and shattered it against the driveway. The victim then attempted to leave in her other vehicle and the suspect kept popping the hood and messing with the engine to stop the victim from leaving. The victim then stepped out of the vehicle and closed the hood to attempt to leave. The suspect became angry and grabbed the victim’s dog and threatened to break the dog’s neck. He then threw the dog down against the driveway, fracturing the dog’s leg in two areas. The victim ran inside the home to call 911 and the suspect followed the victim inside and ripped the phone cord out of the wall. When the victim went into another room to place a call, the suspect followed her and ripped that phone cord out of the wall as well. The victim then told the suspect that she had placed the call to 911 before he was able to pull the cord and the suspect left the scene. Since this incident, the suspect has entered the victim’s home without the victim’s permission on different occasions.
