The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a Mock Crash at Bloomingdale High School on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. The crash will be on the football field and is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. Several other agencies as listed above will be assisting in the mock crash. Student actor/actors from Bloomingdale High School will be “starring” in the event as the injured, deceased, impaired and passengers. Authorities are hoping to demonstrate the stark realities of what can occur when individuals drink and drive. As part of the crash, a severely injured student will be airlifted out by Tampa General Hospital Aeromed, the deceased will be transported from the scene by Wells Funeral Home and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue will extricate and treat other victim’s at the scene. The entire student body from Bloomingdale High School will be in attendance at the safety event.
