A 5 year-old boy is in stable condition at Tampa General Hospital, after suffering a broken femur bone. The boy was struck by a minivan at 21st Ave SE and 23rd St SE in Ruskin just after 9pm on Saturday. While the boy was visiting an end of the year neighborhood party, he suddenly darted across the street after seeing his mother and cousin on the other side of the road. He ran in front of the minivan when he was hit, trying to get to his family. He suffered a gash to the head but was conscious and crying at the scene. He was able to move his arms and legs. The boy was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital.
