False Information to Law Enforcement During an Investigation
Howard, Arthur C
15023 Willow Way, Apt C
On October 17, 2011 at approximately 4:30 pm, Arthur Howard arrived at Sarah Hughey's office and was greeted by the receptionist in the front lobby. Once he arrived, Mr. Howard was summoned to speak to Sarah Hughey's in her office.
During their encounter in her office, it was reported that Arthur Howard asked to retrieve items which belonged to him. At some point after this victim entered Hughey's office and while a discussion about property was taking place, he was shot once in the upper right chest area by Sarah Hughey.
After an extensive investigation and numerous interviews, detectives concluded that Sarah Hughey was attempting to impede the investigation by providing untruthful answers regarding her personal relationship with Arthur Howard and that she had purchased numerous items for him.
Sarah Hughey turned herself into the Hillsborough County Jail and was later released on her on recognizance.

On September 29, 2011 Hughey reported a burglary to her residence at 1114 Kingfish Place in Apollo Beach that she shares with her husband. Hughey reported the theft of property valued at $13,936 and signed a sworn statement to that affect. On October 19, 2011 deputies interviewed a witness that had been involved in an intimate relationship with Hughey for approximately six months. The witness accompanied Hughey to her residence on September 27, 2011 where she retrieved several pieces of gold jewelry. The witness and Hughey drove to the International Flea Market located at 11309 Nebraska Avenue north where the witness sold the jewelry for $2,900 to an individual at the flea market. Hughey informed the witness that she would report the jewelry stolen to cover the fact that the jewelry was missing from her home. The facts establish that Hughey knowingly reported a false
