On July 25, 2012 at approximately 3:10 a.m. two individuals wanted on escape charges from Wisconsin were apprehended by the Seminole Tribe Police in Broward County. The two suspects escaped from a Wisconsin Correction Facility on July 17, 2012. Newman was serving three years for firing a weapon into his girlfriend’s residence and Misleveck was serving three years for auto theft and arson. On July 18, 2012 the suspects kidnapped a female outside of Ho-Chunk Casino in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. The suspects stole the victim’s car and robbed her of $500. The female was released unharmed.
On July 25, 2012 authorities from Seminole Tribe Police at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino came in contact with two individuals that were in a stolen Chrysler Concorde. A pursuit took place involving, Seminole Tribe Police, Broward County Sheriff’s Office and Hollywood Police. When the chase ended, the fugitives ran and were apprehended.
Late evening on July 25, 2012, Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office detectives learned that the two suspects arrested in Broward County matched the description of the individuals wanted in connection with robbery and brutal beating of store clerk Hasimbhai Indawala which occurred on July 22, 2012 at the US 92 Convenience Store located at 102 Highway 92 West. ( Press Release 12-282). Detectives responded to Broward County overnight and have determined that the two suspects arrested by authorities in Broward are in fact the individuals wanted in connection with the July 22, 2012 incident in Hillsborough.
Detectives are doing the paperwork and charges will be placed on the two suspects in the Broward County jail. Charges will be Armed Robbery and Battery on the Elderly.
