On March 15, 2012 at approximately 6:44 p.m., Sgt. Teddy Lynn and Deputy Charlotte Raschke responded to the area of 914 Knights Griffin Road about a report of a suspicious white female walking in the roadway causing a disturbance. Deputies exited their vehicles and attempted to talk to Elamrani who was armed with a two foot stick. The suspect began to yell at the deputies as they tried to explain to her that she needed to get out of the roadway because she could be struck by a car. While deputies were speaking to Elamrani she started swinging the stick in an attempt to strike the deputies. She then resisted by kicking Sgt. Lynn several times in the chest and biting Deputy Raschke on the left arm. The suspect also made several attempts to grab items off of Deputy Raschke’s duty belt.
While HCSO deputies were attempting to handcuff the suspect, off duty Tampa Police Department Officer Jason Tkach, who was on his way home, pulled up and ran to assist. The suspect also hit and kicked the TPD officer that was assisting.
The suspect was taken into custody and charged with the above charges. Deputy Raschke was transported to the hospital to be treated for the human bite, Sgt. Lynn sustained scratches and Officer Tkach was not injured.
