On March 27, 2012 at 5:56 a.m., deputies executed a search warrant at 308 Larson Avenue located in Brandon. Upon search of the residence, deputies discovered three rooms converted for the sole purpose of growing marijuana with lights, fans and a secondary A/C unit. Deputies discovered 54 marijuana plants totaling 42 pounds with an estimated street value of $168,000. Deputies seized $7600 in cash, a 2003 Ford F-350 truck and 2 firearms. The defendant, Arianny Salvia-Cartaya also had an illegal connection into TECO’s main service which allowed for unmetered electricity.
The house is located approximately 100’ from Mann Middle School. The defendant admitted to growing the marijuana.
