    Pedestrian Fatality

    Detectives are looking for the second vehicle that struck a pedestrian.

    Second Vehicle:

    1990’s Black Nissan Maxima with a sunroof. With Florida orange and black color specialty tag (unknown number), dark tinted windows, stock rims and possible undercarriage damage.
     

    Details:
     

    On May 5, 2012 at approximately 9:45 pm the female pedestrian was walking northbound across Fletcher avenue at Cecilia Street when she was struck by vehicle one (1993 Buick) which was traveling westbound on Fletcher in the inside lane. The Buick struck the pedestrian which then placed the pedestrian in the outside lane where she was then struck by a second vehicle. Both
    vehicles fled the scene westbound. The pedestrian died at the scene.

    The driver of Buick turned himself into HCSO District One at approximately midnight. The driver was charged with leaving the scene of crash involving death and driving without a valid driver’s license.

    The driver of the second vehicle remains at large. The vehicle is described as a late 1990's black Nissan Maxima with a sunroof. It had a Florida orange and black colored specialty tag. (Unknown number), with dark tinted windows, stock rims, and possible undercarriage damage.

    Anyone with any information reference the second vehicle is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 247-8200 or anyone with any information regarding the identity and whereabouts of this suspect and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or text "CSTB plus your tip" to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
