    Details:

    On May 21, 2012 at approximately 10:45 p.m., the defendant, Varance Hibbett was driving a gray Chrysler 300 eastbound on Brandon Boulevard. The defendant was seen punching the victim and grabbing her by the hair when she tried to get out of the vehicle, as they were driving on Brandon Boulevard. The witnesses heard them screaming and heard him yell “I’ll kill you .….”  The defendant then sped around traffic at a high rate of speed striking two occupied vehicles that were also eastbound on Brandon Boulevard. He then struck a light pole on the south side of the road and six parked cars in the parking lot at 329 Brandon Boulevard E. The total amount of property damage is estimated at $57,000.00. The passenger in the defendant’s car, received injuries to her face and mouth as a result of the crash. The defendant exited the driver’s side of the vehicle and fled the crash scene on foot. The defendant was apprehended after approximately 500 yards. The defendant had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The defendant was subsequently arrested on the above charges.
