On November 20, 2012, Robert Haines, II passed away from his injuries at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
News Release (12-438):
On November 15, 2012, at 5:14 p.m., a traffic crash occurred on Livingston Avenue at the intersection of Andrea Lynn Drive. Robert Haines, II was riding his bicycle northbound on Livingston Avenue along the right paved shoulder. At Andrea Lynn Drive, Mr. Haines made a U-turn directly into the path of northbound and southbound traffic. A witness narrowly missed Mr. Haines in the northbound lane. Mr. Haines then proceeded into the southbound lane in front of a Ford Thunderbird driven by Carlos Adames.
Mr. Adames failed to see the bicyclist and struck the rear of the bicycle. Mr. Haines was ejected from the bicycle. Mr. Haines was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with life threatening injuries.
