On October 4, 2012, at approximately 3:23 a.m., deputies were responding to 5337 Watson Road in reference to a vehicle burglary in progress. The victim observed a suspect entering his vehicle. The suspect then fled on foot behind houses within the subdivision.

While enroute to the location, deputies were advised that the victim was following the suspect vehicle that he had observed in front of his house. A traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle. The female driver of the vehicle was identified as Alexis Boyde.

Deputies observed burglary tools and property inside the Boyde’s vehicle. Multiple bags were located within the vehicle containing GPS (Garmin, Tomtom, Magellan), game consoles, cameras and cell phones. A cell phone within the property began to ring, a female deputy answered the phone believing it could possibly be a victim’s cell phone. Dehaven who believed that it was Boyde who answered the phone gave instructions to pick him up at the 7-Eleven at 11015 Bloomingdale Avenue. Deputies responded to the 7-Eleven and came in contact with Dehaven Osley.

Dehaven Osley stated he was waiting for Alexis Boyde to pick him up. Both suspects were subsequently arrested and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail. Both suspects were arrested with multiple counts of vehicle burglaries. During the course of the investigation, victims were identified and property was returned.
