Hillsborough County detectives are investigating a grand theft that occurred at the Kmart located at 1602 West Brandon Blvd. in Brandon. On October 12, 2012 the two suspects entered the store and proceeded to the jewelry counter where the secured plastic case that contained chains (necklaces) was located. The one subject forced the display case open and removed five chains, valued at $1,590, while the other subject stood by. The subject placed the items into his pocket and both subjects left the store. One subject exited the store and retrieved the vehicle, the other subject exited by the garden center where he was picked up at the curb.
