Quarterly Awards Ceremony to Honor Employees and Citizens:
The Sheriff’s Office Quarterly Awards Ceremony is set for September 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Falkenburg Road Jail Assembly room. HCSO personnel will be honored for valor and exceptional work performance. We will also recognize recent retirees, employees for longevity of service and honor citizens who helped save lives and who helped to catch criminals. Civilian Employee of the quarter and of the Year will be recognized along with the Deputy of the Quarter.
Here are a few highlights:
- Citizen Award: Brooke Bennett will be recognized for her community involvement and assistance provided to the HCSO Rising Stars Academy.
- Private citizens that were instrumental in helping deputies make an arrest of a drunk driver that fled the scene of a traffic fatality involving a pedestrian.
- Law Enforcement and Detention Deputy of the Quarter will be recognized.
- Life Saving award presented to the two deputies that saved Deputy Juan Lazo after he was hit head on by a drunk driver. Dep. Lazo was trapped in his vehicle which was on fire.
