Detectives from Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and the Tampa Police Department are investigating two separate vehicle burglaries. Detectives are attempting to identify the woman seen in surveillance photos from Suncoast Credit Union located at Hillsborough Avenue and 22nd Street attempting to use a check and personal identification taken in the burglaries.
On August 22, 2012, an unknown white male driving a silver Mazda 3 Hatchback entered the victim’s car while she was parked at 2506 Parsons Avenue S in Seffner. The suspect removed her purse, cell phone and a laptop. The victim, Tara Pitts had left her car running and unlocked while she went into the daycare to pickup her children.
On August 27, 2012, an unknown white male driving a silver Mazda 3 Hatchback smashed the passenger window of Denisha Lane’s car and stole her purse while she was at Walgreen’s, 4738 West Gandy Boulevard in Tampa. Tampa Police Department is investigating this incident.
On August 28, 2012, an unknown white female in a maroon Impala attempted to cash one of Denisha Lane’s stolen checks using Tara Pittts’ stolen debit and identification card. The transaction was not completed.
