On April 27, 2013 at approximately 5:22 a.m., a neighbor called the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office stating that someone was banging on the door yelling for police. When deputies arrived they discovered a man covered in blood that directed them to a deceased male within the carport of the residence located at 1923 S. 66th St. It seems that the victim, the suspect and a witness were at the victim's home drinking on Friday night. At around 1:30 a.m., the victim and the suspect got into a verbal argument that turned physical. Shortly thereafter the suspect passed out from being so heavily intoxicated. When the suspect woke up and saw the deceased victim, he ran to a neighbor's house yelling for help. The suspect has been cooperating with detectives all morning and was taken into custody without incident.
Preliminary findings show that the victim's injuries were indicative of homicidal violence.
