Update on Attempted Homicide:
Detectives are requesting the public's assistance in identifying an unidentified man seen in surveillance video taken from a gas station near the Royal Oaks Apartments. Detectives do not believe the individual was involved in the shooting; however, they do believe he may have valuable information that could assist in this investigation.
Suspect #1 - Hispanic Male, 25-30 years of age, 5'6", last seen wearing a dark green sweatshirt, a silver beenie or hoodie hat.
Suspect #2 - White male, 18-20 year of age, described as taller then suspect #1, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and tan shorts.
On the evening of November 24, 2013, Security Officer Ammar Akram Al-Nueimy was patrolling the Royal Oaks Apartment complex on Hanley Road and Jackson Springs Road in Town-n-Country.
Just before 10 p.m., Mr. Al-Nueimy confronted two unidentified male suspects trespassing on the apartment complex property. During the course of trespassing both men, one of the suspects pulled a gun and shot Mr. Al-Nueimy twice. The suspects then fled the property.
