    French Bulldog "Bueller" Has Been Located

    UPDATE:

    On January 14, 2013, The French Bulldog “Bueller” has been located safe and returned to his owner Derek McComber. A citizen, Gregory Sakas found the dog Saturday morning at approximately 9:30 a.m. in his front yard located at 7704 Brettonwood Drive in Tampa. He was in the process of making flyers to post reference the found dog when he learned today from the news media coverage that the dog in question was “Bueller”. Sakas notified the Sheriff’s Office and the dog was reunited with his owner.

    Dog: French Bulldog named “Bueller”

    • Description: 25 lbs. wearing a black and green collar with no tags.
    • The dog is mostly black, with a white belly and white paws.

    Suspects:

    • #1 - White male wearing a black hoodie and dark pants.
    • #2 – White male wearing a black hoodie and dark pants (armed with a handgun)

    Suspect vehicle:

    • Mid 90’s model Honda Civic, gray in color.

    Details:

    On January 12, 2013 at approximately 12:19 a.m., the victim, Derek McComber went out to walk his dog “Bueller”. According to the victim he was walking toward Pinehurst Drive with his dog when a gray 90’s model Honda Civic pulled up on the side of the road. A male got out and asked “What kind of dog is that?” After the victim told him it was a French Bulldog, the suspect stated “Well, I’m taking it.” The victim noticed that the suspect was pointing a handgun in his direction so he did not attempt to defend his dog. The suspect then bent down and scooped up “Bueller” while backing away and returning to the Honda Civic. The suspects fled from the scene at a high rate of speed.
