Picked up on Federal Warrant for Firearm Violation
On July 19, 2013 at approximately 2:35 a.m. a 2007 Dodge Caliber was traveling east bound on Brandon Boulevard and attempted to make a left turn onto Limona Road. The driver failed to yield the right of way to Vehicle 2 and Vehicle 1 was struck on the passenger side by Vehicle 2. After impact, the Dodge overturned, coming to rest on its roof at the north west corner of Brandon Blvd. and Limona Road. The deputy was driving west bound on Brandon Boulevard, approaching Limona Road. The deputy saw the Dodge enter his path of travel, applied his brakes but struck the Dodge with the front of his 2008 Crown Victoria. The deputy’s vehicle came to rest at the north west corner of the intersection. No occupants of from the Dodge were injured or transported to the hospital.
Deputy Stout was transported to Florida Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Gerald Severance was transported to Tampa General Hospital.
The arrestee, Gerald Severance was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he was evaluated and released for booking.
The investigation continues.
