Brian Michael McGhee
8700 50th Street, #938
- First Degree Murder (Booked into the Pasco County Jail)
Bianca V. McGaughey
8449 Del Lago Circle #201
On July 23, 2013 at approximately 8:25 p.m. the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call (we are not releasing the 911 call) in reference to a stabbing in progress located at 8451 Del Lago Circle in Tampa. Deputies arrived on scene and observed the victim, Bianca McGaughey lying on the sidewalk with multiple stabs wounds in her torso and neck. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to the incident scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
Detectives responded to the scene and learned that the suspect Brian McGhee was driving a Pontiac Grand Am, silver in color with black racing stripes. He had arrived at the apartment complex and parked in a parking spot. The defendant then exited his vehicle and approached the victim that was walking toward him. He then began stabbing the victim. The defendant then walked back to his vehicle and fled the apartment complex.
Detectives also discovered that the suspect and victim had previously dated, but had stopped dating a year ago. The suspect had continued contact with the victim.
Deputies with the assistance of surrounding law enforcement agencies, identified the defendant’s vehicle as it traveled at a high rate of speed north on Interstate 75 towards Pasco County. A pursuit was initiated and in the area of Interstate 75 and County Road 41 (Pasco County) the suspect crashed his vehicle into a guard rail. K-9 Chino was deployed to assist in taking the suspect into custody. Upon approaching the vehicle, the suspect did not respond to commands to place his hands in the air. Once K-9 Chino was deployed inside the vehicle and apprehended the suspect, the suspect complied and was taken into custody.
The suspect was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa where he was treated for injuries sustained in the crash and the K-9 apprehension. McGhee was released from the hospital on the morning of July 25, 2013 and will be transported to Pasco County to be booked into the Pasco County Jail, due to the fact that he was in Pasco County at the time of his apprehension. McGhee will be transported back to the Hillsborough County Jail at a later date.
McGhee is a former pro wrestler with the stage name of “The Future Donovan Ruddick”.
