A search of the room revealed that the defendant Jaime Gay was manufacturing methamphetamine in the motel room.

On July 30, 2013 at approximately 7:07 a.m. the defendants (Jaime Gay and Colleen Cooke) entered the CVS Pharmacy located at 715 Brandon Blvd. where they intentionally selected and hid merchandise valued at $ 75.47. Items stolen were: “Scar Jel”, “Culture Digest” and a pair of sunglasses. The defendants then exited the store, passing all points of sale without paying for the merchandise.
The defendants then provided the stolen items to co-defendant (Nicole McCall) where she went into the store in an attempt to return the stolen items for cash. The store manager realized that the items were stolen and would not accept the items for return.
The defendants were identified leaving the scene in a Maroon 1996 Ford Explorer. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and confirmed the defendant’s identity. It was confirmed that the driver, Jamie Gay had a suspended driver’s license. A search subsequent to the arrest the defendant had five (5) counterfeit U.S. $20 bills in his front right pants pocket. At the time of the traffic stop, the defendant falsely identified himself as Donald White, DOB 12-12-79.
It was learned that the defendants were staying at the Motel 6 located at Falkenburg Road and Highway 60. Deputies responded to the hotel and a search of the room they were staying in revealed that the defendant Jaime Gay was manufacturing methamphetamine in the motel room. Gay is also charged with violation of probation.
All three suspects were taken into custody on the above charges.
