Deputies were able to identify and arrest Matthew Bolyard after a tipster saw him on the news.
Deputies have identified and arrested Matthew Stephen Bolyard who was previously listed as an unidentified suspect in the Sunglass Hut thefts.

- Possession of Cocaine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Contempt of Court (Warrant)
Deputies were able to identify and arrest Bolyard after a tipster saw him on the news and notified the Sheriff's Office.
On June 27, 2013, just before 1 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop after spotting Bolyard in the backseat of a car at I-75 and SR-60 in Brandon. During the arrest, deputies found Bolyard had possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Further investigation has revealed that Bolyard has committed 3 additional thefts of sunglasses from the same Sunglass Hut in the past weeks. While questioned by detectives, Bolyard said he was selling the sunglasses on the streets.
Bolyard is now facing 5 counts of grand theft along with the drug charges. Additional charges are pending related to dealing in stolen property. He will be booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.

On June 14, 2013, the unidentified suspect seen in the photograph entered the Sunglass Hut located at the Westfield Shopping Mall in Brandon and placed multiple pairs of sunglasses valued at $1760.00 dollars in a bag. The suspect then walked out of the store without paying for the sunglasses.
On June 20, 2013, the suspect entered the store again and stated to the store employee, "you aren't going to like me for this, but I don't care", and then scooped up $1800.00 worth of sunglasses and walked out of the store without paying for them.
The store employee recognized the suspect and took a picture of the suspect as he was leaving the store carrying the stolen glasses. The total of the two thefts, $3,560.00 dollars.
