- Hispanic male, 5'5”, 180 lbs., thin build, brown eyes and black hair.
On April 26, 2013, a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer was stolen from the parking lot of Thompson Auto Parts, 1114 41 Highway North. On the same day, Bennacio Ortiz attempted to sell the vehicle to LKQ, a secondary recycling dealer, but was unable to provide proper identification. Angel Hinson produced her Florida Driver's License and signed documents stating the vehicle belonged to her and she had the right to sell it. LKQ purchased the vehicle from the suspects for $400.00.
A warrant has been issued for Hinson for Dealing in Stolen Property and Defrauding a Secondary Recycler. A warrant has been issued for Bennacio Ortiz for Dealing in Stolen Property. Ortiz also has an active Violation of Probation Warrant for Robbery by Sudden Snatching, Robbery with a Firearm, Carjacking with a Deadly Weapon and other charges.
