Upon making contact with David Aristizabal, Aristizabal began to fight Deputy Katzer. Deputy Katzer attempted to deploy his ECD (Electronic Control Device), but Aristizabal was able to deflect the ECD. Aristizabal continued resisting and was finally secured by a total of five deputies. Deputy Katzer sustained a bite to his right forearm and was medically cleared at Florida Hospital in Carrollwood. No other deputies were injured during the incident. Aristizabal was transported to Tampa General Hospital for assessment, due to injuries sustained during his resist (abrasions and bruises).
