    Details:

On November 20, 2013 just after 3 pm, Eric Holtgard drove and parked his vehicle in the parking lot of to Rivard Buick-GMC located at 9740 E. Adamo Drive in Tampa. Holtgard got out of his vehicle and began yelling at several employees and patrons who were in the parking lot of the dealership.

Holtgard then pulled a Glock .45 caliber from his waistband and pointed it at a patron/victim and threatened several times he was going to kill him. Holtgard spotted deputies pulling into the parking lot and fled in his 2006 dark blue Scion before deputies could apprehend him. A short time later, patrol deputies conducted a traffic stop on Holtgard at Lumsden Road and Lithia Pinecrest Road.

Holtgard was detained until the victim and multiple witnesses responded to the traffic stop for a positive identification. All parties were able to positively identify Holtgard as the same man who was in the parking lot earlier at Rivard Buick-GMC. Holtgard was arrested without incident.

During an inventory search of Holtgard's vehicle, deputies located several loaded firearms, to include an assault rifle, two handguns, ballistic plates, ballistic ammunition, and paperwork advising he was exempt from Government statutory law, in the vehicle.

Holtgard gave deputies consent to search his apartment in Tampa Palms, 17101 Carrington Park Drive #423, Tampa where a tactical shotgun, Glock pistol and 32 magazines and ammo were impounded for safe keeping. Holtgard has a valid Carrying Concealed Weapons permit.  Holtgard was transported and booked into the Orient Road Jail until he bonded out of jail at 2 a.m. this morning.

Today shortly after 11:30 am, a lawn maintenance man called 9-1-1 and said a man wearing only boxer shorts and carrying a rifle with a scope came out of 3822 Buckingham Loop Drive and began screaming at him telling him he was not allowed to park on the curb in front of his house. When deputies arrived, the man was identified as Eric Holtgard. Detectives responded to the scene and have arrested Holtgard again.

Detectives have also seized additional firearms including several assault rifles from the Buckingham Loop address which is the home of Holtgard's mother. Holtgard was transported to the Orient Road Jail where a request for no bond will be made.

    The investigation continues.
