Suspect # 2:
- Unidentified Black Male
- Described as 18 – 22 years of age
- 5’8”, 140 lbs
- Clean shaven with black hair and brown eyes.
On October 21, 2013 at approximately 9:00 p.m. at 1108 Colson Road two black males knocked on the door. The house was occupied by Vincent Shakes and his girlfriend, Nishell Hargrove. The black males presented handguns and forced their way into the home. The defendant went into the residence with duct tape and restrained Hargrove. Hargrove was able to free herself and ran outside. The defendant and the unknown co-defendant fired their handguns multiple times near Shakes to scare him in efforts to force him inside of the suspect vehicle. The unknown co-defendant drove the vehicle as the defendant sat in the back with Vincent Shakes repetitively striking him with a handgun. They drove to 5738 Horton Road (Vincent Shakes parent’s residence). Once at the Horton Road residence, Vincent Shakes ran from the vehicle. Shakes ran through the garage, where his father, Leaford Shakes assisted him and trying to hold the garage door shut while the defendant and co-defendant attempted to force their way into the door. The started to open and the defendant penetrated the crack of the door with the hand and shot Leaford Shakes in the upper body and Vincent Shakes was struck in the foot. The suspects entered the residence and demanded money. After receiving money from the victims, the suspects fled the scene.
The event was not random.
One suspect, Stefan Jackson has been identified and warrants issued. Detectives are working to identify the second suspect.
