    Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

    Suspect attempted for a third time to rob the same bank.

    On July 31, 2014 at 9:37 a.m., Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded to a hold up alarm call at the Bay Cities Bank located at 14877 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. Deputies were advised that the same suspect involved in the Bay Cities Bank robberies which occurred on 04/15/14 and 06/11/14 was once again attempting to gain entry into the bank by pulling and banging on the front doors. When the suspect was unsuccessful, he fled the scene in a black, Pontiac G6. At approximately 10:10 a.m., a deputy spotted the vehicle parked in front of the Palencia Apartments, located at 3450 Palencia Drive. The registered owner of the vehicle, Kelly Fox, and her husband, Glenn Fox, were contacted at their residence. A court authorized search warrant was executed on the Pontiac and a blue hoodie, white gloves and a scream mask were located in the trunk of the vehicle. Glenn Fox was also wearing the white sneakers worn by the suspect in all three robberies. At that time, Fox was arrested and transported to the Orient Road Jail.

    Last seen wearing grey sweatpants, dark blue hoodie jacket, light colored pants, white gloves, white sneakers and a mask similar to the movie “Scream.”

    News Release 14-223:

    On April 15, 2014 at approximately 10:03 a.m., a bank robbery occurred at the Bay Cities Bank, located at 14877 Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa. The unknown male suspect dressed in a dark blue hoodie, with his face covered by what appeared to be a Scream style mask, runs into the bank and jumps over the teller counter. The suspect demands the cash from one teller's drawer and then removes the cash himself. The suspect then unsuccessfully attempts to open another teller’s drawer. The suspect jumps back over the counter, exits the bank and flees the scene in an unknown make or model midsize white sedan. The suspect may have been carrying a small bladed knife in his right hand. The suspect was wearing white and blue gardening style gloves. The suspect vehicle had what appeared to be white tape over the vehicle identifiers.

    On June 11, 2014 at approximately 10:52 a.m., one unknown armed suspect entered the Bay Cities Bank located at 14877 Dale Mabry Hwy N. The suspect jumped over the counter and demanded money from the teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of US Currency, the suspect fled. The suspect entered a black mid-size four door vehicle.
