On August 11, 2014, the victim and a female witness were at a store and the victim was making inappropriate sexual comments to the witness and was looking down her shirt. After this incident, the female witness notified her boyfriend (Erin Robinson) of the incident. She also notified other family members of the incident. The witness knew the victim because the victim had previously dated Robinson's father's current girlfriend.
On August 11, 2014, the defendant (Robinson) along with two unidentified individuals traveled to the victim's residence followed by the witness. They traveled to the victim's residence to confront him about his behavior and statements to the female witness earlier in the day. Upon arrival at the residence the defendant and victim became involved in verbal altercation in the front yard of the victim's residence. In the course of the altercation the defendant struck the victim three times in the face with his fist. The victim fell to the ground at which time the defendant grabbed the victim's head and struck it multiple times against concrete landscaping rocks. This resulted in the victim being severely injured. The suspect then fled and was later taken into custody by deputies.
The suspect was booked into the Hillsborough County jail. The victim was transported to South bay Hospital and later moved to Blake Hospital in Bradenton.
