Dump truck flipped over onto the pickup truck while dumping its load of dirt and trapping the driver of the pickup truck.

On February 20, 2014, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a traffic crash at Hwy 672 and County Road 39 in southeastern Hillsborough County. Here are the preliminary details known at the time of this media release.
Just before 9:30 a.m., a 1998 Ford dump truck (Vehicle #1) was traveling East on Hwy 672 and entered into the intersection while at the same time a 2011 Chevy pick up truck (Vehicle #2) was traveling North on County Rd 39.
As a result, both vehicles collided and both vehicles ended up in a ditch on the roadside with the dump truck flipped over onto the pick up truck while dumping its load of dirt and trapping the driver Adam Souders inside his pick up truck.
Hillsborough County Fire Heavy Rescue Unit, the Florida Department of Transportation, Hillsborough County Road Department, Steppes Towing and Monarch Environmental Inc, responded and with this combined and coordinated effort, Adam Souders was removed from the vehicle and air lifted to Tampa General Hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition.
Ynefre Fernandez-Tomas, the driver of the dump truck was cited for Violation of Right of Way. All traffic lanes have been reopened and the investigation continues.
